My little Minx (oh, he’s aptly named for sure) has a good deal of toys but he won’t really play with anything. He has a treat dispenser that he sort of plays with but it’s more a case of trying to bite through the lid and it slipping from his grasp than actual playing. He also has a wicker ball which he doesn’t even pretend to push around, he just eats it. Cardboard boxes, empty tp rolls, cardboard “tunnels” don’t even get a second look.

The one thing he DOES absolutely love to do is jump on my lap, hop onto my chest to my left shoulders and hop down the other way. Once back in my lap he’ll jump off for a second and either run to my left side to repeat the cycle or just turn around and go back up.
Mum feels more like a piece of furniture than anything.

Honestly I’m more worried he’ll fall or slip off me and hurt himself so, since he does this I figured I’d set up a little ramp of sorts built out of cardboard boxes but he refuses to go on it. Any ideas?

You’re his play house! My bunny does the same with jumping on me, it’s really common for bunnies. Some bunnies just aren’t too into toys, but it sounds like he likes to eat them. He’s bonding with you when he plays on you. trying sitting or laying on the floor so he won’t hurt himself. It sounds like he really likes you though! Not all bunnies act that way. Enjoy it

My bunny is so playful and I decided to make a little space in our backyard and put a fence. So far he’s enjoy his little space and visited him regularly.

To encourage him to enjoy the fort you made ( so it’s not wasted ) you could hide his pellets at feeding time around the cardboard fort. Hide some on the starting ramps and spread it out over the fort. Just his usually dinner pellets and that same amount you usually would feed so his tiny doesn’t get upset – just on the fort instead of usual place
