  So Benji has been getting a little “crumb” like eye crust in one eye for awhile, almost every day. Sometimes there’s some fur that sticks it to his eye, but it’s only one little clump each time in the inner eye, like where his tear ducts would be. It’s not goopy or anything, it’s hard,and he doesn’t show any signs of discomfort like squinting or redness. The crust is normally like a cream/brown color. I normally just pick it out when I see it. Is this normal or should I go take him to get checked out?

  It is popular that they get a little crust in the corner of their eyes but if it carry’s on and the eyes start to look like he is crying or irritated then take him to the vet, but otherwise i would say it is normal and not to worry. You could always try water with a small amount of salt on a cloth and wipe his eye occasionally hope that helps

  II agree with Billie’s bunnies, if it’s just a crust, no redness, no swelling, no constanly wet fur under the eye, I’d just pick it out or rinse it away with saline eye wash for humans.
