Hello everyone, as you may know by now I have separated my rabbits due to them getting in a fight. They’ve been separated for about 3 days now with daily bonding sessions. Tonight I was petting Winnie my almost 2 yr old netherland dwarf and i felt a very very small lump right above her eye. It is like soft..it kinda moves alittle if you touch it. It is not noticeable if you look at her. I looked for anything bite and there is like a small scab in the middle of her head. The other day she did have a very long clump of fur I pulled out of her eye. Her eye has a little bit of white-ish discharge but nothing unusual to her usually getting fur in her eye. Her teeth seem normal from what i can see. Im assuming this lump is from a bite from pepito or the major long fur piece I pulled out. Im terrified to death as to what this could be? Do ya’ll think I should wait a couple days to see if there is a change? Or immediately call the vet tomorrow asap? What should I do? Im very worried right now, I love Winnie so much. I could just sit here and cry. No dishcharge from her nose either.

        any advice please help?

EDIT: When I rub my finger across it petting in the direction her fur goes, its feels like a cute or scab. However I dont visibly see a scratch, but i also am not trying to blind her. Could this perhaps be just a scratch?

EDIT AGAIN: Alright, i found the scratch, it is a bite that it almost healed. you know how when you scrap your knee and the scap kind of raises, thats the point above her eye. Also, checked the whites of her eyes on both sides and theyi are both very very white, even the eye with the bite. This makes me feel slightly better but still worried. I will have my eye on the bite mark. I believe this scab is just where it kind of would pop out a little its right where her long eyebrow whiskers are. NOT eye lash. its like on the rim of her bone. NOT on her eye lid.

Keep an eye on it for any changes. It’s likely just the hematoma from the fight bite/scratch, but buns are prone to abscesses so you want to make sure it’s not getting bigger. If you do notice changes in it, for sure take her to the vet. I can imagine how worried you must be, especially since you still can’t figure out what’s gotten into your two furballs. Hang in there… (((Winnie)))

It is the third day since i found the lump above Winifreds eye and it has not gotten any bigger. Id like to even say maybe its smaller? but im not so certain yet, but it defintely has not gotten any bigger. It feels as though it truly is a scab, feels like scab when i run my finger across it. I just hate the bump porton of it :/
Im still keeping an eye on it.

I’m not sure if you’ve ever noticed, but even in us hoomans there’s a bump under almost every injury… if that helps ease your mind at all. No growth is good news. So I’m throwing a YAAAY out there.
