  I’m getting my bunnies Sherwood pellets. I do know how to transition them thankfully but I don’t know how much I should give a 2-3 month old holland lop..I heard a lot of people saying giving to little won’t be a problem because they will eat more hay which is good and giving to much would make them not eat hay I was thinking maybe 2-3 tablespoons…I’m not sure how much I do believe that they are probably 2-3 pounds right now I’m not completely sure though

  For a rabbit that age, people say you can feed unlimited, however I’m more of the opinion that limiting pellets is still a good option. I would feed up to 1/2 cup per day, split between two 1/4 cup meals. At 6 months of age you can reduce that amount to 2-3 tablespoons as a maintenance diet, but since they’re still young and growing, giving extra is recommended.

  It could depend on the rabbit, I’m not a bunny expert yet, but my first bunny Clementine I didn’t give pellets to at first when I first got her, we only had adult rabbit pellets so I gave her very limited pellets with some kale to make up for the calcium, after finally getting her Oxbow Young Rabbit food I started giving her unlimited pellets but she was a very good hay eater. I use her poop to see if she’s eating enough hay, if in any case she weren’t eating enough I would reduce pellets, but that has yet to happen.

  I never gave mine unlimited pellets for that reason but if your bun still eats a good amount of hay, unlimited pellets are fine
