Thank you! I would not have thought about keeping her warm, though I planned to add a comfy bed for her. I will get some fresh greens today as well. I took her hay and pellets as they were going to make sure she ate right after. It is an hour drive so I hope she does ok.

Bun Bun is home. She is groggy but in her cage. Hoping she eats as I do worry. They said she may be groggy the rest of the day but if she doesn’t eat by the morning, to call.

I did get meds for her.

Thanks for the hugs for Bun Bun. She isn’t eating as much as she usually does; she is a piglet, but she is eating some. However, she mainly eats when I put it in my hand and hold it for her. She will take her treat sticks and eat them but the hay or pellets has to be from my hand. She snubbed the lettuce, like literally pushed my hand away. She has ate a little fruit, again from my hand. Keep the good thoughts coming. She did take her meds like a champ and is moving more.

Oh and she pooped several times yesterday after coming home, but I don’t think she has peed. But she is trying to get out of her confined area so she is getting her feisty personality back.

The vet said to keep her confined for 7 days! She has been in her smaller cage for 2 days. This morning she was rearranging the cage so I know she wants out. I have an exercise pen that isn’t huge but bigger than her cage, would it be ok to let her in that even though today is the 3rd day? I don’t want to rush her but I also know she can’t stay confined for 7 days. What I can see of her incision looks good, no redness or swelling.

Ok, she is definitely back to her old self. I let her out into the pen, she quickly uses my leg to jump over the pen to the chair, then off she goes. She did hop to each room before heading to her litter box and using it, so points for that, but no more pen time until the week is up. Gah! I had a mini heart attack. And she isn’t happy about being back in her cage. Sigh!

Well it has been 2 weeks since Bun Bun’s spay. She has done very well. On Monday night, I did notice a little blood around a staple; I think she either pulled at it or pulled it when she jumped. Tuesday morning, it was a little swollen still so since we were a day passed the recommended removal date of the staples, I took her to the vet to get them removed. The spot went down quickly and is healing great. She is full of herself and is so glad to be able to roam more now that she is staple free. She is jumping and binky all over the house.
