My rabbit is about 2 weeks away from becoming a baby daddy to my friends rabbit & I’d really love to keep 1 of the babies once they’re are at the right age to be separated from mum. Does anyone have experience in bonding a father rabbit with one of his babies?

I will have them both fixed, just not sure if he’d bond better with one of his girls or boys or he just wont bond with one of his babies at all…..

        Thanks so much!

They need to be both fixed beforehand. Having one fixed wont matter, they both need to be. After both are fixed, you can introduce them to prebonding while they are healing from their neuters. And one month after their neuters, you can introduce them in a neutral area to start bonding them. Sex of the one you plan to bond him with doesnt matter.

I would also add, he won’t recognise it as ‘his baby’ so won’t be more or less likely to bond due to that.
