So the boys had their regular three monthly teeth check today. Poor Ron had to be wrapped in a towel and held by both me and a student vet nurse! Last time I was worried that Ron was in pain because he wouldn’t let them check his teeth but had been fine with it before, vet said it was fine not to worry.

Bramble will always need dentals, we have had him since a baby and know what to look for but we have only had ron since he was 2 and a half, he has never really needed any vet treatment with us so we don’t know what to look for in his behaviour I guess. The vet today did a really good job and managed to get a look, his teeth are definitely hurting him! I feel terrible that I took the last vets word for it, my poor guy could have been in pain for the last three months and I have done nothing about it!

Well both buns need to go for dentals tomorrow! Its going to be an expensive day, plus I wont be home I will need to drop them off in the morning and pick them up when I get back which will stress me out no end. My poor boys, Ron is going to be terrified!

          Nerve racking for you too!
Sending my best wishes for {{{Bramble}}} & {{{Ron}}}.
It’s nice they’ll have each other’s company there, at least.

Thanks. I guess it is nice that they will be together. Ron hates the vets, rather oddly Bramble doesn’t mind as long as no one tries to cut his nails! The vets know they are bonded so will put them in the same kennel once they have recovered a little from the anaesthetic but they know Bramble well enough to know that he will need some special TLC after the surgery so they wont put them together right away. I will take their (and by their, I mean Ron’s, Bramble is not allowed to lie on it) blanket in along with their packed lunch and hope that helps them a little.
