My baby Mija is usually very good and very picky. She doesn’t chew cardboard or wires(thank god) but on the downside there’s not much she does like to chew. I’ve bought her multiple wood chews and balls with hay that barley interest her. She’s very picky with her food too. Won’t eat any kind of pellet either. I’ve started buying hamster food for her but taking out the corn and sunflower seeds. I feel like sometimes she’s doing it just to upset me. When I’m in the room she’ll always try and sneak chew the carpet but if I leave the room and come back in she’s always laying in her spot on the bed. I recently turned half of her cage onto a digging play place. As I only use her cage for her potty. She loved it at first but after a couple hours went back to the carpet. I’m not too worried about the carpet getting torn up but afraid of her dieing from eating it. Most the time she just pulls it out but today I seen her eat a piece

First of all, welcome to BB!

I know it seems cruel to deny them a digging spot, but in my experience providing them with such a thing stimulates them to dig more, not just in the assigned digging area. Autumn is a serious floor- wrecker but by spraying her with a tiny bit of water when I catch her digging the floor, she has gone off doing it and sleeps in the time I’m gone (daytime) therefore little damage is done. This is not the best solution but it’s the only thing that works with Autumn
