I’m not sure about pooping too much, but I think buns make more poops if they increase their hay intake because of the fiber? I’m sure someone will correct me or weigh in to give you a better answer .

Luna is my first bun too, and even if she were my 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc., I know I would still have questions about buns!

The way I understand it – pellet poops = indigestible fiber. Cecotropes = digestible fiber + nutrients. So I’d agree with Luna that increased pellet poops = increased hay/fiber intake, which I would be ok with.

There’s no healt problem that manifests as more poop of the round type. Quite the opposite, really, a diminished amount of poop is an observandum.

It’s about the intake of indigestible fiber. More hay= more poop. That’s a good thing.

I come home to Mount Everest size poop piles each day…. ive never counted them all (lottery number choices don’t go up that far…. LOL !!!) but it is eeeeasily in excess of the hundreds…. i do have two buns….

We should create a thread for a poop count challenge. Count all the poops in 24 hours and divide by the number of bunnies you have.

Whoever has the highest count…. has the dirtiest hands lol

I’ve often thought about counting the poops they do in a 24 hour period. Especially since they’ve been on hay only and they poop more than twice as much. But then I remember that would be insane 

Now that is just unfair to throw challenges to the wind like that !!!

Funny I was just thinking this morning about how I read buns poop over 300 times a day and was wondering how accurate that is for my buns. Not sure I want to count them all……even if I had the time to do that.

Poop = good I never thought before I got a rabbit that I would be so obsessed with poop haha.

I’d (strangely) love to know how many poops Theo does a day.. I don’t think it would be 300 but I could be wrong!!

No lie – Peanut dropped 66 poops in one sitting yesterday

Four hundred and fifty (overnight litter tray – 50% in tray, 50% at the side where muchies are munched)
One hundred and fourty (day litter tray – 100% in tray)
One hundred thirty six (evening before bed – see above)

Seven hundred and twenty six (give or take a few handfuls…..) LOLOLOL

726 divided by two. That’s the answer.

i dont have time to count but i swear my one bun does the amount of two/three.. and by my recent litter post where the reply was i go through twice as much as someone with two buns…. my slush not only poops a lot but pees a lot too

Oh my gosh, I did not honestly expect anyone to count, lol. I thought about it yesterday when I took the litter tray out to the green waste bin, but didn’t want to seem too crazy I’ll probably have to count tomorrow, since we’re going out today, otherwise it’s going to be a fair bit longer than 24 hours.

I think Snickers takes the prize for poops in our house, not only does she do hundreds, they are all way bigger than everybun elses and could win awards for their lovely colour and roundness she does love her hay though

832 poops in 24 hours from two medium sized buns That’s 416 poops each. I’m pretty sure their GI tracts are working well

Now that’s done, I’m never doing it again. It doesn’t look like so many until you’ve counted about 200 and realise you’ve hardly made a dent in the pile, lol.
