  I have a beautiful 2yr old female lop called Bija. My fiancee and I have been thinking of getting a dog and I think we may have found one we love. As excited as I am about the prospect of getting another fuzzy pet, I’m worried sick of something happening to Bija. She currently lives in a hutch and has an exercise pen surrounding her hutch. How can I secure her further? Any suggestions?

  Hi! What breed/size is the dog? Is her hutch in a room where you could gate off or close the door during the times when the dog is out?

  Yes, putting up extra barriers and gates is a good idea. Training your new puppy not to react to your rabbit is really the most important aspect though. Because unless you have a tiny dog that can’t jump over gates, then any gate or xpen fence won’t keep out a determined dog. Training your puppy to ignore Bija will help so much
  
  Getting a new puppy is exciting though, what sort of dog are you thinking of getting?
