  I live in a very rural area with lots of bugs outside which make their way into my house. As a result, I had a fly ribbon (fly tape) hanging where I thought my rabbit could not reach. Iris somehow managed to yank it down and get the entire thing tangled up in her fur (she is a lionhead). We managed to remove it, however now she is covered in the very sticky residue meant to catch flies. I have no idea how to remove this from her fur and she keeps licking at it. I do not know if it is toxic to rabbits. I am very worried. Should I take her to the vet? If not, any ideas on how to clean a VERY sticky lionhead???

  I think I’d try cutting away the fur that has glue on it.
  
  You can’t use any strong solvents obviously. And you should never bathe a rabbit.
  
  If you have a regular vet you could call them and ask, because they might have had to deal with this before and could be able to advice you.

  Thank you! Was able to remove the majority of it around her midsection with advice from the vet, however the fur around her butt is far beyond repair and will probably have to be buzzed as it is matted all the way down to her skin and causing her discomfort.
