Gestation can go over the expected 30 days. Perhaps the previous owners were not accurate in how far along she was either or even if she is pregnant.

Breeding is a prohibited subject on Binky Bunny. So if you have further questions on this topic, try forums like rabbitsonline.net or rabbittalk.com. Both have a section dedicated to breeding and kindling.

Has she had the kits yet, or are you still expecting? How is her diet/toileting; is she eating, drinking, peeing, pooping healthy?

Moving her this late into the game mightve stressed her out. At her old home she likely had a nest built already. Losing her nest and her actual home are incredibly stressful on an expecting bunnymom. Very stupid and possibly harmful of the previous owners to do that to her; I wouldnt be calling them “really nice rabbitry owners”.

You can try to line the nest box with a fleece blanket or two, but thats about it. The rest will be up to her in regards to the nesting.

Are they sure shes pregnant? Its very, very uncommon for a pregnant doe to be that pregnant without even trying to build a nest once. Theres still the issue that they tried to sell a very pregnant doe anyway….

As mentioned, your questions would be better off directed to a forum like rabbits online, they have a lot of experienced breeders on there and discussion of intentional breeding is permitted there

I did want to add thought that I do know some rabbits don’t pull fur until after they give birth. Especially first time does sometimes never build a nest at all.

Pee smells in rabbits who are not fixed. If its on her tail, thats not a sign of pregnancy either, but rather a symptom of urine scalding. Digging is not nesting. Being fat can just be an overweight rabbit; has she not been to a vet to confirm??? I dont think your rabbit is pregnant as nothing youve mentioned proves she is…
