        Hello everybun,

I brought 6 rescued bunnies home today. Long story short there’s nowhere else for them to go so they came home with me. 5 out of the 6 have settled in fine. One of them I am concerned about possible stasis. They came home about 5 hours ago. The one I’m worried about has eaten a small amount of mint, maybe some hay but I can’t tell. He’s just sitting in the back corner of his cage, has moved around a bit but keeps going to the one corner and staying there. All of the other buns have started to poop/pee a normal amount, they didn’t for around the first hour or so which I assumed was just being nervous in a new space. And they are all moving around their condos investigating, while the one little dude doesn’t.

Has anyone else ever had a bun not poop/pee because of stress? I found 3 little poops in his condo, no visible pees. I’m very nervous, and want to make sure if it is stasis ive caught it quick enough. But if it’s stress I don’t want to make it worse by also dragging him to the vet after a long stressful day. Should I wait and see, if so how long? A few more hours, or just take him in now? I might be able to get a hold of some critical care, should I try that?

Thanks for any help and advice. If he’s not pooping by morning, he’s definitely going into the vet first thing.

Crisis averted everyone!! The yet to be named Bun has pooped!! Thanking the bunny gods right now because I was so worried about my new buddy.

Went out about 15 mins ago to check on him again and he was snacking and had made about 15/20 poops. Guessing he was and is still stressed from the move and new environment.

I’m glad that the bunny is better and now eating and pooping. Thank you for rescuing all these bunnies!

You did a really great thing rescuing all these bunnies and I’m definitely not trying to discourage you but are you keeping ALL of them, or just fostering? If so, do you have help caring for them? I’ve found that caring for just four bunnies is a bit of a strain on my time and resources, just a forewarning. Definitely not telling you to get rid of any or that six is a bad idea, just saying it might be a good idea to get help or prepare to donate a lot of time. Good luck and have fuuun with your new friends!
