I scanned and searched the forums but I didn’t find anyone who is currently using advantage II on their bun. The vet I work for said that it is fine to use the kitten dosage of this product, but I’m just a concerned bun mom. So if anyone is currently using the advantage II please let me know how you like it and if your rabbit had any issues with it. Thank you in advance

Lots of bunny moms and bunny vets use advantage to treat fleas. Just be sure you are using the vet recommended dosage.

If you are on a budget I use pet safe diatomaceous earth. I used it on four bunnies and a cat as a preventative measure when i got my rescues who had been running around outside for who knows how long. I wasn’t 100% sure if they were infected in the first place so i can’t swear personally to efficacy but a few days later they were checked by a vet that said they were friend free.

I put Vaseline on my fingertip, or on a q-tip, look for fleas, if I find any (on two occasions I have found 1 flea), I touch the flea with the Vaseline, and that immobilizes it so I can take it off. Then I send it to Vaseline heaven 🙂 Works if your bunny will sit still for a good fur inspection. Easiest to see fleas/flea poop on white fur.

Awesome thank you for the info! I did apply a dose of kitten advantage II without any issues. He loves to go outside in the spring and summer (we travel between Ohio and Kentucky) I just wanted to get some more info. In the winter months I will just pick them off and use the Vaseline and the diatomaceous earth. Thanks again! ?

Wear a dust mask when you are using DE. Long term use is not good for your lungs…
