  This morning i woke up a tad bit late and so my husband and his male flemmie were already up and about in our bedroom. My husband puts an xpen where our glass French doors are leaving our room to our kitchen where my female flemmies area is located. I woke up and immediately went to let my girl play in her play area, as i was leaving I stopped and sat down to pet my husbands male. I sat for about 30 seconds softly talking to him and petting him before my female, who i do know was laying down looking in our general direction started to scream. And i mean literally a blood curdling scream, she has done this once before when our male got too close to her play area. Anyways, as she started to scream she started running around in a circle and thumping, is this seriously jealousy or is there something physically wrong with her? Is she in pain? She eats all the time always has, drinks a bunch of water, she is crazy active also. No recent changes. I am really her primary care taker so we are extremely close. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone.

  Rabbits only scream when they are terrified. The thumping and panicked running are part of that as well. Sounds like you accidentally scared the hell out of her, or she may have been in pain. If you do think pain, you should visit a vet. If you think you just scared her, you should try to figure out why so it doesnt happen again

  There was no noise going on at all. Nothing was happening. It was a totally calm morning. No one was near her at all. No sudden movements. I have no idea what would have terrified her. I literally cant think of anything that would have scared her.

  Were you in a well lit area? Were you talking loud enough for her to hear clearly, or were you whispering so she couldve only heard bits and pieces of what you were saying? Was she wide awake and watching you, or was she daydreaming/zoned out?

  There was natural lighting, sunlight through giant glass doors, so it was decently lit. I was being pretty soft so she may not have heard everything i was saying, she looked like she was zoned out just hanging out. Fully relaxed superbun legs.

  I would assume then that she had no idea you were there, being that she was zoned out. So when she heard your whispers, she ‘came to’ and didnt recognize you and freaked out

  I would say get a vet check up. Does this happen semi frequently? She could have some sort damage

  No, this is the first time this has happened. Okay. I will take extra precautions as to letting her know I’m there. She’s just usually so brave and social that noises and stuff don’t phase her. I may take her into the vet anyway just because I’m paranoid.
