So I have been spot cleaning my hardwood floors with diluted white vinegar since March. Recently, Bart and Milhouse have begun to SPRAY just about everywhere!!!! so I am CONSTANTLY cleaning with the diluted vinegar. Maybe I am being paranoid because I am a renter, but I sorrrrrta feel like it is damaging my hardwood floors  The reason I am not totally certain is because it is a very old house so the floors have wear and tear, but I am still very worried.

Is there an alternative cleaning method I can use that is safe for bun AND hardwood??

Ive got stains in my living room carpet because of spraying, so I understand your worry. Unless you put down a rug youre willing to throw out after enough spraying, the only thing that can help is neutering, and that wont stop spraying instantly, itll still be a few weeks/months

If it were me I’d probably either put down a load of thick rugs or towels or I’d put puppy pee pads everywhere until they stop spraying.

You wont be damaging the floors if the floors still have a shine to it the floors are still sealed. you can also for very cheap buy wood floor sealant to refresh your floors however to get an even coat you would have to move everything off of it. Most indoor floors that are wood have a sealant that lasts 10-15 years unless theirs constant furniture rubbing. Since you are also diluting it with assumed 50/50 water it reduces its PH level to roughly 0.5% which isn’t enough to even make car clear coat (protects paint) even consider you a threat.

I would suggest that if its an area where they constantly go maybe reduce their space a bit more and get a higher wall litter box and of course fixing your bunnies is important like mikey said as it will fix it in the long run but take about 2 weeks to a month to redice their hormones to below territorial levels. For me I had bandit done before he even learned how to spray so im SUPER LUCKY that he does not as a free roam.
