  I just got a beautiful new bun last night. Last night he ate pretty well, but today he doesn’t seem very interested in food. He ate a little bit of pellets, and a few nibbles of cilantro and lettuce. The only thing he’ll really eat is banana, but he didn’t even eat all of what I gave him. Could this just be the stress of a new house? Or is it stasis? I’m so worried.

  It could be stress from moving into a new home. It could be stasis if he is not pooping, or showing signs of discomfort such as sitting in a hunched position or not wanting to move. You can give him some simethicone right away, then evaluate his behavior to see if he needs to go to the vet.

  Ok! He ate a little and pooped a little now. I’ll still keep an eye on him of course, but I think he’s ok. Thanks for the advice! I
