  I’m aware that Fir trees are bunny safe if chewed but does that include large planks of Douglas Fir?? It’s untreated of course as well as kiln dried. Is this safe if it gets chewed on? It’s for part of a cage bottom but she’s been known to chew everything in her path ?

  I think it’s safe, because it’s planks, not shavings or sawdust. A bun can only eat so much wood at one sitting. Cedar should be avoided, but pine/spruce is deemed safe. (I think Douglas fir is actually a type of spruce.)

  It is some sort of evergreen conifer. I’m hoping she won’t chew it all that much, but she has already tried of course!
