        Hi everyone,

        Hoping someone can help.

Noticed that my rabbit’s right eye is bloody on – quite hard to spot but it’s definitely there. She was fine yesterday and she’s eating and running around as usual. Has anyone seen anything like this before? I’ve attached a photo

I haven’t seen anything like this but my first thought would be to take her to the vet soon! it could be an infection or lead to infection

Burst blood vessel maybe? I just dealt with that (in my own eye tho not my rabbit’s eye!)

A few months ago my rabbit got an eye that looked just like that. Is her eye a bit swollen as well? I can see the third eyelid sticking out. We went to the vet, they said she had probably poked herself in the eye with something. She got painkillers and some anti-bacterial eye drops to help the swelling go down and was back to normal in a few days! I should note that they also stained her eye with contrast for an ulcer or tear in the cornea, this can be more serious. Luckily it is more rare, but definitely worth checking for.

Short answer, I’d take her to the vet as soon as you can!
