  I have two bunnies. I purchased a play yard from them to be outside in. Now the problem is hawks. Every time I have them out they are around. Any ideas how to keep them away.

  You need to put a cover on the cage. As much as you can stand there, once a hawk commits to the swooping… It’s a very fast and difficult thing to stop. Until you get a cover, it’s best to try and have coverage.

  Any bunny that’s outside has to be in a totally predator proof enclosure. A predator can come out of nowhere and get them, and rabbits can even get so scared by their presence, that they harm themselves. Also, if it’s springtime where you live, watch out for parasites – fleas, ticks and flies.

  It might sound cruel, but I keep my rifle on me when my babys outside even with a covered cage.
