my friend bought a bunny from a flea market because she said it looked sad and wanted to give it a home. After she got home and did some research she realized it was a long commitment she did not want to take on and asked me to care for it or she would have to release it to the wild.
I told her she could not do that since it was domesticated and took the bunny into my home. I now have a bunny that I do not know the breed, age or gender of it.
I want to keep him/her so I want to make sure I know more about bunnies. I did some research and I know the basic stuff to owning a bunny, like that they need a lot of space, hay and love (and a lot more but those are the basics) I hope in this community I learn more about my bunny and learn how to better care for it! so if you could please look at the pics and give me a general idea of what breed he/she is it would be a great help!
P.S. I will soon be taking it to a vet to find out its gender and to spay/neuter it!

Cutie Patootie! Thank you for taking on the responsibility of this little one. I can only guess at breed really..
I do think it is young. Do you know it’s weight. It would be a good idea to weigh and record the weight and keep doing that weekly. You then may be able to work out the age and possible breed mix based on it’s growth.
The colouration of the fur is called Chestnut Agouti. This bun looks like it might even be a lop whose ears haven’t flopped down yet. -

thanks!! I’m trying my best to care for the bunny! I have noticed that one of his ears is completely flopped now and the other is straight up most of the time (except when pick him up to clean his cage the flopped one goes up but then flops back down after I put him down). I will weigh him weekly and record the weight to get a better idea of breed
Thanks again for the suggestion and I hope I can give him (I’ve been calling him-him and it kinda stuck haha) a forever home!
