Hey everyone! I always come to binky bunny for my questions! I am a rookie owner, but I did tons of research before taking her home!
She has been having some soft more mucous like poops lately here and there. They aren’t cecotropes. They are single normal shaped poops but they are a bit more wet and very smelly. I can’t tell if they’re often like this because she steps all over her litter.
I use yesterday’s news unscented. Her diet consists of tons of hay, about 1/2 a cup of pellets which I’ve been giving her at night so she’s not distracted from eating her other stuff! And I always give her many cups of fresh greens like (romaine, endives, red and green leaf lettuce, collards(only a few times a week), cilantro, dandelion greens. I only give carrots once in a while and a raspberry(one or two a day). I have only had her a week so I haven’t gotten her to the vet yet but I will be this coming week. She’s probably almost 15 lbs. she is a Flemish giant. Should I be concerned or is it normal to see these poops once in a while. And I think she does over produce cecotropes as I see them every once in a while. Thank you in advance !
