  Hi I’ve posted here before and people were quite helpful, I was hoping the same would happen again because I’m pretty scared.
  
  Our bunny was driven to us by a ZooTaxi for about 7-8 hours in a van with other pets, before that he was in a pet shop for about a month with his sister.
  
  Since we wanted him to come to us, we never came close to him until a few days after we got him and noticed his ear is flaking, he wasn’t scratching at it from what I observed. But me and my mom of course got extremely scared and went to the vet as soon as we saw. They were very nonchalant and cut off a square from his ear leaving him with a wound to see it close up (which I thought was disgusting given the fact that it could be an infection and leaving an open wound is worse) and said it was a sort of infection, didn’t get into detail what no matter how much I asked he just said it could be due to a stressful situation (the traveling for 7-8 hours or hostile environment in the pet shop), handed us a potion to lather his infected areas and that was it.
  
  We were supposed to put it night and day for 7 days but I didn’t see any improvement (actually his wound got worse, jee I wonder why ffs). Since I have a history with eczema and skin infections in general, I know when it’s not working and this wasn’t. Scariest thing is more spots started to come up, which shouldn’t be happening.
  
  I need someone’s opinion who has been through this to tell me what to do because I live in a backwards ass country where people will tell you you’re dramatizing right up until you are physically almost at the verge of death. (Crap part of Europe)

  If anyone knows something about this I would greatly appreciate it because it scares me every time I find a new spot.

  Yes it is, I’ve been noticing something inside but it definitely could be me over analyzing because my mom doesn’t see it.

  Since he was traveling with other animals, the first thing I would suspect is ringworm. It’s not uncommon for them to get on the ear like that. It’s treated with an antifungal medication.
  
  What was the name of the cream you were given?

  It’s Imaverol, and the first thing that came up when I just googled it was horses so that’s fun, so it’s possible to treat it and reverse what happened? I really don’t want him to lose all his fluffy fur (Not that I would love him any less, more the reason to snuggle ’em for warmth)

  That’s antifungal so the vet is possibly treating it as ringworm.. It might require an oral med (like griseofulvin) if the topical cream is not effective.
  The thing with skin infections is sometimes there is a secondary infection that occurs. For instance, there may be a ringworm infection, the area becomes inflammed and then a bacterial infection breaks out. So then you’re having to treat with an anti-fungal and an antibiotic.
  
  If this is ringworm, it can definitely be treated and his fur grow back. It’s just very contagious and easily spreads to new spots.
