Hi so this is my first post on this site and any help would be appreciated. So I have two lionhead that we got over the summer and they are fully bonded now. A few months ago, we got two more holland lops (Flower and Thumper). They are brothers and used to share a cage according to the old owner, but she separated them when they started to fight a bit. When we got them, we had them neutered and let them heal before beginning the pre bonding process. Once that was started everything seemed fine. They seem like they want to be together. When we started the actual bonding process in a small hamper, it was okay at first. There was a little chasing and humping but nothing bad. As we continue this process and try different spaces, Flower bites Thumper and like clings on. I think it’s him wanting Thumper to groom him but it’s hurting Thumper and he screeches in pain. If you try to pull them apart it hurts him even more because Flower is still clinging on. This has happened twice and it’s making me feel discouraged. Any tips on what to do? Please help. I don’t want my boys to get hurt!!!
