Will nebulisers effect bunnies?

  Hi all, I have cystic fibrosis and have to do nebuliser antibiotics twice a day. It suddenly occurred to me that if my bunnies ever need antibiotics, they might not be as effective if they’ve already been exposed to MY antibiotics (specifically tobramycin and colomycin) Will my nebuliser have an effect on them? I can always do my nebuliser in the bedroom where they’re not allowed if necessary. Thanks guys!

  Not an expert, but I’d say if you do the nebulizing high up (like on a chair, on the bed) and not down to bun level, the particles should go upwards? Also if it’s a big room the droplets should disperse pretty fast.
  Maybe to be sure do keep the room well aired!

  Thank you for your input muchelle! I have a very small house and I do notice a temporary ‘fog’ afterwards that does dissipate after a while but I don’t know if that’s because it rises?

  That’s the steam going up and spreading and the microparticles should dissolve, but if the area is small I’d recommend opening windows for a bit to let new air flow in (of course if the weather makes it possible). So that the air is fresh and it’s good for buns and humans
