Hi there! I’ve looked to see if anyone else had posted something similar, and I couldn’t find anything, but I’m really curious at what this is.
My rabbit, Cinnamon, is just over a year old. I’ve noticed that when she flops in front of me, she has like a tube like feeling (like intestines or something) of tightness and it’s quite stiff. She really likes it when I massage on it lightly, and it loosens it up! But then it’ll come back soon after. Whatever it is, it has no affect on her behavior. She still binks and runs around and is eating and pooping like normal. I’m not sure if this is a normal thing I should be feeling. I would go straight to the vet, but I’m in college and don’t really have the money to waste if it’s just part of their normal anatomy.
I was thinking it could be something like the digested poop pellets in their intestines? But when she’s flopped, it’s just below her rib cage, and after looking at rabbit anatomy, the poop pellets would be lower. So I’m not really sure and I’d definitely appreciate any feedback I can get!!
Thank you so much!
