I went in the rabbit’s room today and noticed that Milhouse had peed outside of her litterbox and it was like a red-orange mix. I saw some in her litter box too. Bart also had some red-orange in his. Did not look like there was blood…from what I’ve read, when it is blood you can normally see the bits of blood, it isn’t thoroughly mixed. It is inconsistent though. Sometimes clear-ish, sometimes more cloudy yellow. Just last night it was clear-ish.

I have read that it is normal for their color range, even to orange almost red, but wanted to see what you guys thought…

That’s correct . Luna usually stays in the red-orange-yellow range.

It is normal to have orange-ish urine. If you think about soaking a tea bag in hot water, the concept is the same for rabbit urine. Some plants may end up dyeing their urine. Wick’s urine tends to turn orange when we give him carrots, and sometimes it just does it sporadically on its own for no particular reason. My exotic vet assured me this is a common occurrence. It could be a one-time spell, or Wick has gone sometimes 4 days straight of mainly orange urine, but he’s a pretty happy and moderately healthy camper. Only moderately because he’s fighting sneezy fits right now.
