        Hey guys and gals

I’ve got a little man called Theo.

I got him in September from a big pet store he was bitten and we didn’t want him to be put down.

We are worried that since the pet store, go through so many rabbits they tend to get ill easier.

Last year he had a nose infection and started getting snotty we took him to the vets, and got some baytril for him this did take away the infection however didn’t take away his snotty nose. The vet did say he was healthy so I was fine with having a snotty bunny.
We then got his some powder to put on his food which cleaned his nose right up but once that ran out it came back.
And now his left eye is watery, we have more of the powder just in case it’s snot related and also some eye drops, does anyone have any more advice on the matter at all?

I was thinking of turning a room into a steam room for him to see if this helps. Any ideas at all?

He is a tiny bunny weighing at 1.55kg and he won’t get any bigger, he also eats a lot, poops a lot and is a happy little bunny.

Sometimes a runny nose and eyes can indicate dental problems, either spurs on the teeth, or overgrown tooth roots. Something that would need an x-ray to determine.

Oh no!! That doesn’t sound good >.< have u revisit the vet for a follow up? Did the vet say with the watery eyes and snotty nose is fine? I had 2 rabbits in the past and 1 currently. Not one has that problem… can't help much… sorry. But best of luck! And hope Theo gets better in no time

They gave me the eye drops today so if that doesn’t help then I’m 5 days he needs a follow up. The vet said he can have a runny nose and be fine but the runny eye means something blocked or in the way.

I was thinking of turning my kitchen into a steam room to see if that helped loosen anything, they said about sending tests off the the lab if he doesn’t get better

Just wondering, has the vets ruled out snuffles or in vet terms: pasteurella?

Hi he did have snuffles however the baytril did get rid of the infection, but the snot continued the vet said this was fine. I saw the vet yesterday and they mentioned it could have come back higher and the eye drops will get rid of it.
