  ive been using salt water 3times a day for 3 days incase it was starts of conjunctivitis but does this goop in corner look like a blocked tear duct?

  No. What makes you think it’s blocked? All I see in this picture is a little eye booger.

  I have been cleaning his eyes for 4 days as they are quite pink around the edge and that yellow goop you can see comes back 3 ish times a day – that goop is quite wet not crusty like Oakley’s dark eye boogers are so I didn’t know if it is normal ?
  The pink around and the yellow wet goop – is it normal ?
  Just asking because a vet visit is $67 and I don’t want to go to find out I’m over worrying haha

  By the way when I started the eye cleaning that part by the yellow goop was matted- and in other eye same thing – tiny mat but like the goop had matted it and pulled the skin slightly so I originally thought maybe conjunctivitis so began salt water cleans incase – that fixed the matting but the goop keeps reoccurring in the one eye ( other appears to have less if any now but still pink on outer )

  My rabbit gets a little booger in each eye everyday, so I clean it out everyday and he seems fine. I never thought that it would be a big problem, but when he did first come to me his fur surrounding his eye was wet as well, so I just cleaned his eye everyday and now he only gets a little booger a day. By booger I mean a dried up goop. During the late hours he develops a wet goop as well and it is white.
  I think that some symptoms of blocked tear duct are milky substance running from eye, chronic runny eye, inflamed area around eye, hair loss from chronic runny eye, and probably some crusty fur.

  See my other bunny Oakley his eye goops are always dry and dark brown to black and crusty 1-2 a day
  
  Boston’s are wet yellowish and mat the fur a bit if left the day 3-4 a day

  Hmm it seems that both of your boys ‘ boogers are a little..interesting… ?
  I have never seen a black eye booger from any of my animals before but I will prob have to research that more.
  And 3-4 times a day seems a little excessive and is the matting just from the fur being crusty?

  I presume it will be from the wet goop drying out there ( the matting I only noticed 3days ago now and started the cleaning as soon as I noticed so it hasn’t matted again as I haven’t left the goop there at all – I clean it 3 times a day with salt water now on clean sterile cotton wool )
  
  But the photos in this thread are today. So the pink is still there and obviously the yellow wet goop is still forming today and needing wiped

  Try cleaning with cooled chamomile tea – it has mild antibacterial properties and might help clear up the little mite’s eye

  Oh cool thanks Q8 will give that a go for 2 days and if no better I’ll take him in to be checked as I really don’t think it looks “normal ” with that pink and it looks irritated to me

  It could be a minor infection or irritation, but I doubt the tearduct is blocked.

  Could be , I just wondered as I had been cleaning it for a few days but it was still getting wet goop – and since a lot of people on other pages swore by salt water for clearing eye issues ( non bacterial) up I thought I would ask some opinions here is all

  By the way I think it could possibly be hay irritation as I put his hay in a hay rack yesterday and his eyes are no where near as irritated – could be coincidence I don’t know – if they look irritated again today or tomorrow though I have chamomile tea to start that cleanse

  I’m interested in reading the comments, since Lancelot always has weepy eyes. He’s been on SMZ, baytril, eye drops, eye ointment, I have used saline water to clean his eyes, but they are always weepy, and only Guin’s constant grooming can keep his face clean. But that doesn’t stop the weepy eyes, just keeps his face clean. I’d be interested to try the chamomile. I’v also tried an air purifier in the room. Nothing.

  I haven’t seen Boston’s weeping – just seen the goop and now crusty and mats where it is
  Today it’s crusty in both corners but dried and won’t come off easy – kind of like sores (?)
  Not sure – difficult to get though so I’m leaving them at the mo so I don’t cause irritation

  If you compare yesterday’s pic to today’s
  Yesterday’s looks wet – goopy – and eye surround looks irritated and pink
  Today’s looks dry – crusty /sore like? – and the eye surround not as pink or irritated

  By weepy I mean goopy. The eyelids do get irritated from the wetness. You can get teramycin over the counter. It’s an eye ointment, and see if it helps.

  Oh yep wasn’t sure as when I tried to google find what was going on with Boston’s ( with no luck ) it showed me some that had wet watery runny eyes that looked to drip down their cheeks so I was picturing that when you said weepy

  So it’s both eyes then? I asked his age just to be sure. I think he’s a bit young for tooth problems, but I guess you never know. The goop and irritation appear minor. I know you’re cleaning it everyday, but a blocked tear duct usually means a stream of tears on the cheek. That’s all I was trying to say. Honestly, it could be irritation from the hay. And even the hay dust could be giving it the yellow tinge. If it starts looking worse, then I would be concerned about an infection. They do happen, but it tends to just be one eye.
  
  You tried putting the hay in a rack. Have you tried using a different type of hay to see if that makes any difference?

  So his history is ( just to be more clear as I don’t think I was )
  He was at a petstore ( had been out the back for a week or two prior so left mum at 5ish weeks) at 7 weeks put out for sale. I saw him and noticed he has pink irritation on eye lids , in a glass tank with sawdust and barely any hay which was in a small hay ball too high for him , very very small poop ( like a 6th the size it should be), was not active , resting his head on anything he could , and either a head sway or extreme scanning ( still unsure which ) . I told them he needed a vet visit. Went back next day to still no vet visit . Next day I was told a “animal care coordinator” so not even a vet – would be seeing him in 3-4 days MAYBE- so I took him and went to my vet.
  They started EC treatment straight away ( just the panacur for 6weeks )
  Once I got hay into him his poop returned to normal size after 48hours. Eye irritation settled but was still there just fainter. He still rests his head but I think it’s become habit now. He has scanning for sure and has a ruby cast to his eyes so not sure now if he use to have a sway or if his scanning was more obvious there as he wasn’t well from lack of hay and sore eyes and looking through glass etc etc
  Eyes irritation never fully got better before becoming pink again around 5ish days ago I think it was, then I noticed the mats in corner of eyes and more pink eyelids than before. Began the salt water thing.
  Then each day was pink lids still and instead of mats was the goop I photographed. Skipped a day yesterday as I wanted to see what happened when I moved his hay to a rack and the pink improved but noticed the yellow crusty back in both corners
  We are day 15 of panacur now

  And nope I haven’t tried a different hay as we don’t have many options here – we use meadow but other option is lucerne … but that’s not good aye?
  We don’t have Timothy or alfalfa in my country
