Sorry if there are a few posts like this, I’ve been googling for hours trying to find some answers!
So we got bunny a mini lop just over a year ago. He is a well behaved rabbit and super friendly with people. We got him neutered when he was 7 months old, because he was humping my arm. This stopped almost immediately and he is still a very well behaved rabbit.
We wanted a friend for him, so I got binks 2 months ago, a female lop (so she is about 4 months old now), and is currently unaltered. The intention is to get her spayed when she is old enough (so within the next couple of months)
They had a relatively good bonding process, no fights whatsoever, just a lot of humping from bunny.
The humping died down when they started living in the same cage (about 6 weeks ago) and since then it has been almost none existent, he only humped her occasionally when they were running round the living room.
However the past few days at least he has been humping her constantly, especially through the night, he doesn’t seem to leave her alone, which must be extremely stressful for the both of them.
Is she now an adult rabbit, and is this having an effect on him? When I get her spayed will this humping die down? I don’t want to have to separate them as when they aren’t humping they get in so well.
