So, seems like me and the bun will possibly need to spend Easter out for a couple of nights. I’ll try to find a way to leave him home, but in case we have to go this is the problem:
Where we’re going they have a nice big cage since they used to have buns. Problem is, both those buns possibly died from E.C. (one for sure), it happened some years ago.

The idea of dismantling Kuro’s huge cage and take it with us would imply a lot of stress, both for him and us humans, but I’m paranoid about the E.C. buns’ cage… would it be safe to use my host’s old cage? What could I use to disinfect it and make it safe? I don’t think vinegar or bicarbonate would be enough…

The other option would be to keep him locked in the spare bathroom, but I’m afraid he could get too scared to be alone there all day. I’d rather have him completely caged but in the guest room with me.

        Ahhh so stressful!!!

For peace of mind I would just play it safe and buy a cheap travel x-pen.

Do you have anyone you could borrow a dog travel cage from, a collapsible one ??

I have a puppy pen that I use for long travels, but it’s in metal and very heavy. That + his carrier and his litter box could be another last resort choice, though.

Collapsable dog cages? I shall look into that! I’m ignorant about dog supplies, it sounds interesting!

That’s what I use for travel. And short visits. And for longer visits I just attach the xpen to the cage. If you want to make more space, you can add a shelf to the dog cage (litter tray underneath it..) bunnies love being up high. Just pop 2 lengths of 1×1 inch parallel to each other across the bars and plop a bit of plywood cut to size for the shelf (I even stuck a bit of carpet square for traction on it)

I have a collapsible dog cage for Amelia, and it works great when traveling. Hers folds down flat and I was able to get it on Amazon for around $40
