  My little Ollie went into get neutered today and everything went fine but he’s been home a few hours now (operation complete by 2pm) and his right eye is still half closed almost although it’s been knocked. Is this normal after anesthetic? He’s my first bunny and this site has become my bible so hoping someone can help.
  He has been eating, he usually has run of the house but due to op he is stuck in his cage so is sulking a little bit.

  sorry thought i had added them hopefully they are now on, one is his good eye the other the one in question, it is rare he sits in the cage he prefers the sofa but he cant jump after his op

  He might be feeling a bit sorry for himself staying in his cage, after we have an operation we feel low for a few days and want to be alone, as for his eye I don’t know if that is him being groggy, I’ll say my magic word and see if a lady can help……’bam’ bam we got a 999 little bunny.

  They normally put some ointment on the eyes to prevent them drying out when they are under. Perhaps when this was cleaned off, something irritated his eye? Are his lashed pointing outward?
  
  You can try holding a warm, wet cloth to the eye to see if it soothes him.
  
  Did you have some meds to give him during recovery?
  
  Are you able to call your clinic or are they now closed? I personally don’t think it’s something you have to rush him back in for, but they might be able give you an idea as to why it’s like this over the phone.
