I currently have a thread on another site which is 2 pages long about my difficult experience so far attempting to bond my remaining trio.
I would really appreciate some thoughts on what I should do next.
Basically, after losing two of my beautiful babies, I’m now left with a newly bonded pair consisting of Pumpkin (who lost his partner Dolly) and his new friend Molly. We took Molly in as a rescue to foster but Pumpkin took a real shine to her so we kept her and they have bonded wonderfully.
We then lost Ted who has left behind Bloo, a spayed female 4 year old. She had a terrible start in life which left her terrified and defensive of everything. It took a couple of years for her to trust and this only happened due to her bond with the most patient and gentle bunny in the world!
Now she is very very keen to bond but Pumpkin is being very aggressive to her. As this has all happened in the space of 4 weeks I’m struggling to even think straight. I don’t know if forcing this bond is the best for Bloo or if I’m doing it because it is best for me. I don’t know if it would be better for her to have a new friend and for me to give up on the trio bond.
Any advice would be much appreciated. I’m truly lost with all of this and just want my buns to be happy.
