Yes, her kidney is twice the size it should be. Sev is on antibiotics because her blood work can back showing an increased white blood cell count. However, this could be from the spay. If Sev isn’t feeling better in a week or so, we are going to do an ultrasound!

The lines are the clips from the spay. Where the x is that is the kidney!! And the vet actually felt it (her kidney) when feeling my rabbits stomach since we went in for gi stasis. 

Severus eating is awesome now!! Without her hunger meds! She hasn’t been eating as much tho. Yesterday morning while giving her the oral meds she bit me through sweater and I have a very nasty bruise from it and then last night as a protest, she started ripping out hair from her dewlap (and she swallowed some). So now she can’t have oral meds anymore. Hearing the sound of her pulling out her hair was soo terrifying and her swallowing can just lead to gi stasis. I would get many bruises for my baby girl but this went too far with the hair. The vet did give us some syringed w/ needles and antibiotics today so we can give her them with a needle. My other vet also gave us an entire bag of fluids to give her when needed (with extra needles of course). 

Hopefully she will continue to eat without her oral meds for hunger. If not we might need to just get pain meds to inject. I think she may now know her consequence for not eating lol (oral meds). What an expensive girl she is having us buy 2 oral meds and then deciding nope then making us buy the bag or liquids (since we can’t force feed her water) and injectable meds! 

We are going to the ultra sound if she continues with her strange appetite, stops eating again, or if her bathroom problems seem to continue or worsen!

She has been eating more hay and drink more water than ever before!! Since the symptoms went away, we didn’t get an ultrasound. 

We had brought her to the vet for there black spots (with hair loss) that I mentioned in a different post and the vet didn’t have any suspicions when checking her stomach. I’m about to post the diagnosis on that question, for other to know. 

My rabbit has had what vet’s consider rare things wrong with her, she defiantly one of a kind!! 

I agree. A lot of people frown upon x-rays which is okay, since they aren’t often needed. I had a gut feeling about the x-ray so I got it. If more people got x-rays, it might not seem as rare. Rabbits can live full lives with one kidney, so that’s what I’m mainly happy about. 

I’m not sure if since I got her from a pet store, it could contribute to it (I know rescue always, I’m fostering to adopt another rabbit from a rescue atm). My dad’s first thought was those darn pet stores mass producing animals can cause such things. She has been diagnosed with 2 rare things so far (both times the exotic vet said I have never seen this before). I’m updating the post about the black spot/hairless diagnosis if you’re interested in what the 2nd rare thing is. 

Either way I love my baby and I’m happy she’s doing better!!
