  So we have a 5 year old loop and noticed 2 weeks ago on a sat that she didn’t eat her food and she loves food. So we cleaned her litter tray and noticed she was pooping either. So we brought her to the vet and he gave her fluids and told us to syringe feed critical care. By friday she was eating fairly norm again. The next day we woke up and she wouldn’t eat again and didnt seem right. So we brought her to a specialized rabbit vet and they admittedly hospitalized her for three days giving her intense fluid therapy pain and mobility drugs. We now have her back home and she is slowly getting better eating more. Now for the questions her poop is either really runny or strung together is that alright since all shes gone thru? Also she eats all of it right away i try to throw out as much as i can as i don’t want the hair to get stuck again. Should i be worried about that?
  She use to eat lots of pellets but atm she was told to get off them so we been feeding her kale, rocket and dandelion mostly as advised from the vet do you think she is just getting adjusted to new diet? She seems happy at least

  Aw poor girl. I hope she continues to improve. I do think it is probably worth reporting back into the vet about the state of her poo and see whether they think she needs to come back in. Meds and stress can certainly cause the poo to be loose but if there is a bacterial imbalance that’s occured due to the stasis, this might need to be assessed.
  
  Did you cut out all the pellets right away or just reduce them? (By the way, I find my rabbits don’t want to eat pellets for a while after they’ve had a tummy issue)
  Was she getting this amount of greens before hand or is the type or quantity new to her?
  
  Also she eats all of it right away i try to throw out as much as i can as i don’t want the hair to get stuck again. Should i be worried about that?
  
  I rather think she might have a dental issue. If so, it could be the reason behind the stasis episode. Did they check all her molars when she was hospitalized?

  Well she is on zantac syrup still. She use to eat about a cup a day of oxbow pellets and just a generic mix green maybe a big handfull plus hay. Now she is getting a tablespoon of pellets and 2-3 cups of kale, dandelion, fresh grass as advised from the vet. She has another xhexkup on sat. Hopefully shes alright seems happier and eating just very selective atm

  Not sure if i wrote it last reply she is taking zantac syrup atm 2 rimes a day. The vet said she had a very minor rooth problem but shouldn’t bug her and that it was most likely diet/hair as its shedding season her in Australia

  Haha, It’s shedding season year round at my house.
  
  How big is she? A cup a day is a lot. And not cheap! Oxbow pellets here are expensive.
  
  What did the vet mean by minor tooth problem? Like a small spur growing? It’s surprising how much even a seemingly minor issue can affect a rabbit. And some are more sensitive then others.
  
  Re Zantac, it may be the other ingredients in the syrup affecting her poo. Do ring and check with the vet if that is to be expected though.

  Oh it hasnt been cheap so far its been $1500 in vet bills. So a $30 bag pellets didn’t seem bad haha. She is 3kg around 6.6 pounds. With the tooth problem she didnt say just that it should go away by itself if not a little penicillin should fix it.
