  I went upstairs to check inn lily a few minutes ago and I noticed her pee is brown. If it helps this is EVERYTHING she has eaten in the past 3 days: (her pee was perfectly normal this morning)
  1. Alfalfa Hay
  2. Timothy hay
  3. Oxbow young rabbit pellets
  4. Banana
  5. Romaine Lettuce
  6. Licorice root (about 1.5mm thick and almost 2 square cm)
  8. Tomatoes (no leaves)
  9. Carrot? (My mom might have given her some)
  
  And her meds…
  1. Small amount of ciaspride (the first day she got her new med..)
  2. Meloxicam (daily)
  3. Meloxidyl (new and vet said she may pee or poop less while taking it that’s why I used ciaspride)
  
  Oh and she had water ? Mostly just plain but I also gave her some snowcone I made from normal Ice without flavoring yet
  
  Some other information:
  She was fine this morning
  She has a broken leg and is on “cage” rest
  I added some of her carefresh litter because during a playtime (small area) she kept using the litter box
  She has fleece bedding (one day she had towels because all the fleece was out) she has been digging it but I see no eating
  Today I put in a small bin in her box as a hidey house since I noticed she didn’t have one.
  
  Anything I should look out for? Check? Last time she visited the vet was Friday (not this one but the one before that) and she may have visited the vet when she got her new meds but idk.
  
  I can’t upload a picture because it says my pictures I took are too big, I tried normal and square

  Was the pee in the same spot as the morning? If so, Sebastians pee changes color as time passes. Yellow, then brown in his litterbox newspaper.

  My Bindi has brownish/orange pee sometimes. Different foods can cause variations in colour. I don’t think colour is much of an issue as long as there is no blood or thick, chalkiness.

  I cleaned out the pee from this morning, and it has become more of an orangish brown. I don’t see any blood, it seems to be the same consistency and it’s not chalky.
  I’ll just keep an eye on her.

  Hi Lily! I understand your concern exactly– Wick actually started having deep orange pees since last Friday.
  
  I spoke with my vet, who specializes in exotic animal (non-dog/cat) practice, and she says most orange urine is caused by plant pigments staining the urine, similar to a tea bag; however, sometimes rabbits may have periods of orange pee for seemingly no reason. As long as it’s not blood, it should be harmless.
  
  For Wick, he had one orange pee on an evening, then consistently just had orange pee, or at least much more often than not. It’s been a little over a week, and it’s now much less frequent, and Wick is still the same behavior and healthwise!

  Ok, Lily is actually doing better than she did before she had it. Tomorrow I’ll be putting paper on the bottom of the litter box that I added yesterday to her box (her leg is doing a bit better so I gave her a rabbit sized litter box because of the low side)
