Hello! I’m super new to this site, but I’ve been hanging around for a while and finally decided to join  

I’m in the process of adopting a French Lop rabbit, and I’ve done a huge amount of research (neglecting my much needed schoolwork. University isn’t kind to a wannabe bunny owner). Seeing as French lops get to be quite big, I’ve opted to let my bunny free roam, I just have a few questions about space:

I have quite a small apartment, with a bedroom (about 10m2, 107ft2), a livingroom with a small balcony (about 24m2, 258ft2) a large bathroom (which will be closed off during the day because of soaps and cleaning supplies) and a hallway (5m2?). I have a two persons loft bed, under which I am making my rabbit’s home (more like a castle, I’m going all out . And it’ll be about 30 sq feet with two stories. So two times 30 sq feet), and he’d have free range to the rest of my bunny proofed bedroom. In the beginning I’d like to keep him in there while I’m away, just until he gets used to me and my home. Afterwards he’ll have the bedroom, his castle, the hallway, the livingroom and the balcony (rabbit safe). My apartment also has a roof garden which I’m planning on bringing him weather permitting just so he gets some fresh air and feels grass under his feet. All in all I guess that’s 470 square feet of living space plus an occasional walk or visit to the roof garden. Do you think this is enough just until I move to a larger apartment? (In the next year or so)? 

Sorry I know this is quite a specific question and I sound like some crazy overanalytical stressed out math geek but I just want my bun to be happy and not feel trapped.
