Hey all! I’m new to this forum, but I did run through some pinned posts before posting this, so I hope I dont upset anyone!
I am a new bun owner, Skyler is a dwarf and he’s 10 months old. I’ve just recently introduced him greens, so far just Chinese spinach and bok choy (he only eats the leaves). I’ve also started to leave the cage open more often, and he’s been jumping and running and binking all over, then flopping down on his side, head always up, when he’s done.
My concern is that I just noticed that some of his poops are smaller than normal, there are some regular poops, but same amount as small ones. I checked the pinned post about seeing what poop it was, and the small poops in the article weren’t as small (or didnt seem like it) as the ones Skyler is producing. When I pick the small ones up, they are kinda squishy, but not runny. And are nice and round.
As we speak he has just flopped down, legs out, on his side, his head upright ( not sure if he’s resting it on the ledge of his sleeping quarter, or is actually keeping it up, ears upright.
He hasn’t been drinking a lot of water, and he usually does, to the point we would change the water twice a day at least. Now that is almost the opposite. The bottle isn’t full, I’d say 1/3 since yesterday is depleted. He’s been eating his hay and greens (which he really rushes to when I come to give him more) but ends up flopping down to rest and then popping back up to eat again.
When he isn’t plopped down he does explore and move around like normal.
AM I A HORRIBLE HOOMIN? I’m looking at vets as we speak but they are all closed right now…
