  I’m thinking about making my closet into a pen for my girl. It’s 43 w and 74 L, so it should be more than big enough. What should I use to bunny proof it? It has carpeting in it, so I was going to use plastic and staple it down, so it would be easy to clean up the pee because I definitely don’t want the pee to sink into the carpet. ;-; (She’s not using her litter pan) But I’m not sure If that would work because she’s been digging in her cage a lot. I put a dig box in her cage, but she’s used it once and went back to scratching everything else. (I’m using newspaper and puppy pads on top of that in the bottom of the cage until I have a job) So I’m afraid if I put plastic down she’ll just scratch that up and get to the carpet. So, any suggestions on what to use would be more than helpful.
  
  Also, If there’s anything else I should know about making a room like that into a rabbits play place, let me know.
  
  Should I also put something on the walls?

  Many people use linoleum for the bottom of bunny pens, you could either cut a piece the correct size and hold it down with bricks in the corners to prevent digging, or affix it to a piece of wood the correct size. Coroplast is a type of corrugated plastic that people use sometimes too, just make sure the corners aren’t accessible for chewing. You don’t need to put anything on the walls, unless you are concerned about her chewing the corners, and then you can cover those with wood or cardboard.
