My vet suggested using “Fresh News” or “Yesterdays News” litter after her spay because they are pellets rather than flakes of paper like I was currently using and would be less likely to stick to her incision etc.  I replaced the litter box with those pellets and then I noticed my girl was eating them!  On the bag it says to stop using if large amounts are ingested, but she’s not eating tonnes of them at once.  Just wondering if its safe to keep using?  Do other’s bunnies do this as well?

I’ve noticed that many rabbits will sample a new litter when it’s first introduce, just as a way of seeing what it is. If she’s only eaten a couple, I wouldn’t be concerned. If she continues to eat them I would remove them.
