  I wish I didn’t have trouble posting pics on mobile (which is why I don’t have a lot on here– trust me, I have plenty of them:p), because I just want to show off Eeyore and Piglet! I rescued Eeyore from my work last week (long story short, the guy grew up alone in our sick room in a tub he couldn’t turn around in, and once he was healthy nobody wanted him because he’s white with red eyes and now an adult, so he was going to be put down) and I knew he needed a friend, so I found a reputable breeder with a male baby I could bond him to (the ONE TIME I’m looking for a guinea pig, and my shelter has none. The ONE time!) They instantly hit it off and they are just the cutest snuggling up together! Seriously, I brought Piglet home an hour ago, left them in the bathroom so I could go wash off their cages and the contents inside, and when I came back they were snuggled in their straw tunnel together munchin on some lettuce. This was a lot easier than bunny bonding:p

  Piggies are cute. There are a number of members here with piggies. I had piggies myself when I was younger. Bonding is definitely easier, but litter box habbits are the opposite… Eeyore and Piglet are cute names 🙂

  The husband has decided he wants a piggie. I put in an inquiry to a local shelter who has a bonded pair for adoption.
  
  So glad ur little guys are hitting it off and that you were able to save the REW guinea.

  Oh how cute, I’m so glad they have a good home with you It’s good that they’re getting along so well, I don’t know if boars will have issues as the baby matures like rabbits do. I know guinea pigs are generally easier to bond but I’m not sure how the growing up part affects those bonds like it does with rabbits.

  Less than 24 hours, and after such a perfect start, already problems… Eeyore and Piglet did great in their neutral zone (my bathroom) and started snugglin like crazy, but once they were put in their 12 sq ft cage Eeyore just started bullying Piglet real hard… and it’s not causing injuries and he’s not blocking him from food or water, so I guess I just need to let it happen until they establish their hierarchy, but it’s so hard not to intervene. And upon inspection of Piglet this morning to make sure Eeyore didn’t hurt him during the night, I’ve discovered he has ringworm spots. So now they’re going through the stress of moving to my parents’ house while we wait for their vet appointment Tuesday so the buns don’t get anything. What a day!
