Some rabbits just love to pee on soft things. Otherwise, since he’s still only a month out from neuter his hormones could still be a little crazy which can sometimes cause litter habits to go out the window for a couple months after neutering.

In terms of fixing it, you could limit him to his cage and pen for a time to help reinforce the behaviour of only going in the litter box, and after a week of so of him being completely successful with that, then let him out again.

I’ve been dealing with this for a couple of weeks now. I would get so stressed out about it and i swear he knew that and then he got stressed out and peed even more. Mine started with pooping and as you said massive amounts. In seconds he would poop 50 times. When he bacs his butt up to back of sofa, he’s peeing. When i feel asleep on sofa he peed on me.

Several people on here recommended i cover sofa in puppy pee pads instead of the towels i was using. That helped my stress level so much which then calmed down bun.

Mine started this behavior after being moved to a diffetent room. After aweek, he really slowed down and in almost 2 weeks, he had stopped. I got a new desk and he started again. Now after 3 days, he’s stopped again. I guess any change is his trigger to mark.

If you try pee pads be sure not to get the one that had a substance to encourage puppy training

We have the same problem with our male rabbit. As soon as we left the room he would jump up on the couch and pee and poop as if he had been holding it for hours. I read about the spray bottle method, spray the body not their head. So I gave it a try by walking into the hallway and waiting for him to jump up on the couch, then I pop out and give him a squirt and yell NO, BAD RABBIT. The problem was that he knew what he was doing was wrong but there were no consequences, so far I think I squirted him 3 times and have not found any turds on he couch after work or if I go to the store now. *Knocks on wood*

We had a huge problem with this with our Dorothy. She didn’t do it at all the first few months we got her, but then all of a sudden about 4-5 months in, she started peeing on the couch only right after my boyfriend was sitting there and had gotten up to leave the room. She NEVER did this to me and generally speaking, she never peed or pooped anywhere else other than the couch and where our feet would rest on the carpet. I thought it probably had to do with my boyfriend’s scent being left on the couch, she wanted to reclaim it as her own. What worked for us was 1- putting a litterbox near the couch and 2- trying to stop her when she got into “peeing position” and either gently nudging her off (then she would eventually go into the litterbox to relieve herself) or just carrying her and placing her into the litterbox. It eventually worked. No more accidents!

Someone said to watch their tail go up. I never had noticed that at all before so i was skeptical. Now I’m a pro at noticing the tail. Of course by then he’s peeing. If i notice him backing up to get in position i can catch him prior to peeing. I don’t yell but just calmy say no and gently push him off couch. And have litter box close and scoot him in there. I’m not sure it’s working yet. Still a work in progress. But the pee pads are definitely my friend!!
