Hey everyone!
My male bun is having some litter issues. He was actually beginning to be really good at litter training before we got him neutered, but now since he has been neutered he seems to poop everywhere in his cage. Some pees are in the litter box, some are on his blanket. I keep my rabbits in dog crates so I used a blanket on the bottom. Does anyone else do this?
So what he has been doing for the past month is jumping up onto anything he can, like the coffee table and couch. Once on the couch, he poops all over it. Like massive amounts. And then he pees a huge pee! My beautiful couch that is synthetically stuffed, I’m sure is full of yellow stained pee. I take the cover off of the cushions and wash them… but I’d really like him to stop this as it is a daily occurrence. He doesn’t pee anywhere else in the house, only in his cage, and now the couch. My current attempt at training is saying “No!” when I see him about to pee (he kind of lifts his bum in an odd way), but he pees regardless. Then I usually put him in his cage or litter box and say, “Litter box!”.
Any suggestions? Has anyone had a couch-peeing bun?
My female, Bonilla, doesn’t chew anything but her toys, she pees and poops only in her litter box. Maybe we just lucked out with her?
