Hello everybody! Just need a little advise. My bunny was neutered on Monday. He has been doing great and has been eating, drinking, peeing and pooping but today his poops are smaller than normal and I don’t see as much in his litter box. His urine output is less to. Should I be concerned? I am wondering maybe he isn’t drinking as much and getting a little constipated. Maybe the anesthesia or meds. The vet said that she gave him some antibiotics to be in the safe side. I have critical care just in case it is needed but as long as he is still eating then he should be fine right? He was eating some hay when I came home today. He gets fresh greens and some pellets in the morning and evening. I always put his greens in while they still wet from washing them but maybe I need to have them soaking wet for now incase he isn’t drinking much. I am trying to not get overly concerned but I am a little worried about his poop.

Definitely worth keeping an eye on but I think if he is still eating ok then it might just be recovery from the surgery. Everyone says boys bounce back really quickly but my Bramble didn’t. I would keep offering wet greens and keep an eye on his litter box. Take him to the vet asap if he stops eating though

Thank you so much for your response. I actually just now saw this so I am sorry the delay. For some reason when I would check back it never showed your response. I did what you had suggested so that makes me feel better but he bounced back the next day thankfully and is doing really well now. He had me scared for a day though. Thank you again!

Glad to hear he’s okay now! Boys really do bounce back quickly, it’s quite shocking.

Yeah I had to keep his enclosure small bc he wanted to jump around within the first week. I can’t imagine him feeling that great but you wouldn’t have known it. ?
