        Hi everyone!
I’m new to this forum and to having a bunny. My boyfriend and I recently
got a new bunny and she likes to chew and dig on everything.
I’m hoping we can get some help from more experienced owners on
what is the best base to use for her pen so she won’t be able to chew and
injest what we put down. Any help is really appreciated!!
        Thank you

Hi! I have this problem with my bunnies too. Mine would not stop digging and chewing blankets, which by the way, if you notice any holes in a blanket if you give her one, change it immediately. My poor baby lost his leg after getting stuck in one last month. I now use timothy hay mats which I got at a pet store, and they love them! They’re soft enough for the paws and safe to chew! Mine also don’t go through them very fast either. The only thing is you may have to get a few, depending on the size of the cage.

Thank you for the response and sorry to hear that happened to your bunny!!
I think I may give that a try since it’s safe and it will keep her
busy while I’m not home. When I’m home I keep her out so
she can run around and I can watch her. I’m just nervous
that she gets bored when I’m at work!

I understand, they do get bored fast. Mine love to dig and chew everything they can, so I think yours would love hay mats as well!
