This might seem like a strange question, but I’m curious: has anyone notice a change in size, color, or texture of their rabbit’s pellets after a bout of GI stasis?

Just this past week I’ve been dealing with a severe bout of stasis with my girl, Hitchcock. She stopped eating (even treats) and fecal production, so away to the vet we went. They administered subcutaneous fluids and started her on a course of metacam and metoclopramide (gut stimulant). We’ve completed her treatment and while we’re not quite back to normal, we’re well on our way. One thing I noticed is that the pellets she is producing now are larger and darker than what she was producing before the stasis . I plan to talk to her vet when we follow up with him, but I was just curious if anyone else had experienced this?
