Hi everyone. I recently did some reorganizing and realized that I had a dish drying mat that someone had given me as a gift. Turns out it fits perfectly inside Olaf’s carrier! I’ve been meaning to find something non-slippery that was also easy to clean. I like it because the bottom is a grippy material (to keep it from sliding on counter tops) and the top layer is super absorbent which is great for when you are worried about accidents on the go.

I also love that the whole mat is machine washable, slightly padded (for hock protection), and they are super cheap at any home goods store, dollar store, or online. They also have lots of different sizes for different carrier types. I line his carrier with the mat and place a double-layer fleece on top for extra comfort. I keep this already set up in the closet in case I ever need to grab and go for a vet visit or emergency.

CAUTION: Please be careful if you use this for rabbits who are prone to chewing. My rabbit doesn’t chew on material but use caution to prevent your pet from digesting any of the mat. If you are not sure, it is better to use a different type of liner.
