This is the furthest thing from a problem anyone could have, but I’m curious as to why it’s happening.

Over the last couple of days, Buffy has gotten extra snuggly. She’s always been physically affectionate and demands almost constant pats, but she spent the last hour completely flopped out, her body curled around my bf’s head while he took a nap. She usually only loafs on the bed or comes up for cuddles. This relaxed flopping next to our heads is entirely new. She’s also taken to doing giant flops onto her back almost every time I pet her. Before now, she’d do this once every couple of days or so.

This morning, she did the biggest binkies we’ve ever seen from her, and she zoomed around the house for a good 15 minutes. She does binkies and bunny 500s all the time, but nothing like today!

I’m thrilled she seems so happy and comfortable with us, but why the sudden behavioural change? It seemed to happen after she got over her stasis; is she just happy she’s feeling better again? She also got spayed at the SPCA the week before we got her (which was about a month and a half ago), so maybe it’s her hormones balancing out?

I’m interested to hear your theories.

It could absolutely be the post-spay hormonal imbalance balancing out. I hope it is =) It sounds lovely =)

If she had a bit of gas during the time leading up to the stasis episode and that’s all gone now and her tummy is feeling great, that could of course also contribute.

                How very sweet!

Amelia is almost a month out from being spayed and she has been extra cuddly, i figured it’s hormones balancing out, and our super cold weather

I think a combo of hormones settling and happy tummy have led to a state of increased well being, and the little vampire slayer is enjoying it

                  It all sounds positively lovely.
