        Hey guys

So I need your opinions on something. As prey animals, I know rabbits are not fond of being chased, but I get the suspicion scooter may think its a game and enjoy it. He’ll walk up to me during play time and hop around a little, almost like a ferret. When I follow him he’ll take off to one corner of the room, and sometimes binky mid run (hence why I think he enjoys it). After a round of this, he’ll usually lay down and wait for me to go pet him, and occasionally he’ll binky when he gets back up.

Is this normal behavior? Or am I misreading this and terrifying my rabbit? Let me know!

Some bunnies like being chased, if on their own terms. My two buns will often play ‘chase’ with each other since my male bun in particular enjoys it, and they both will sometimes do something they know they’re not supposed to be doing just to get us to ‘chase’/’follow’ them while binking away happily.

Buffy likes being chased by my partner, but not by me. It’s pretty clear when she wants chase time, because she’ll run up to him, get his attention, and then run away doing happy binkies, and if he doesn’t follow her, she will jump all over the both of us until he does. Most of the time she ends up jumping onto the bed for cuddles afterwards (but the couple of times I’ve tried to play with her like this, she’s gone and hidden under my desk instead). Bunnies do play chase with each other, so I think they sometimes like playing chase with their human companions too.

If Scooter was running then hiding, I think that would be an indication he wasn’t happy, but if he’s trying to get your attention for pats, then he probably enjoys it.

I think so long as he is binky-ing, it probably means he enjoys it. Besides, we know rabbits have their ways of showing us if they don’t approve of what you’re doing!

My Bombur loves to be chased. He will purposely annoy Blue so that Blue chases him sometimes (which backfires because Blue gets irritated). But he will also politely ask Blue, or my or my boyfriend, to be chased by coming up to us, poking or nipping us, then running a few feet and looking back. When he looks back, he will dash off if he sees you followed, and if you didnt chase after him, he will run back over to you and nip/poke you again until you do chase after him Different bunnies play in different ways

Amelia loves to play chase with my dog, she runs up and bops then binkies to get him to chase her. She also loves chasing me, but she is much faster then me and I suspect gonna result in my falling on my face when she trips me
