        Hello again!

For the last couple of days, I’ve been noticing Patton has been a bit lethargic around the house. Seems more sleepy than usual or more often sleepy. Less flopping and more crouching up into a ball. Because it’s winter, the house is of course cooler, despite central heat running and keeping the higher air around 73 degrees (but not so much the floor of course!)

But the last couple of days have been very cloudy and rainy. Of course in Arizona we don’t get much rain or cloudy days!

We have all been pretty drowsy around the house and I have long noticed that in spite of my blackout curtains, my body somehow seems to KNOW when it is cloudy in the morning because I have more difficulty waking up before I even open the curtains.

Does this affect bunnies as well? I kinda miss Patton’s occasional spurts and sprints around the house in the evening. Of course he’s still eating well, loves to be pet and still grooms me back. Just kinda lethargic.

Anyne else having these experiences? Thanks!

My bunnies have their lazy days but I’ve never connected that with the weather. I’ll have to start taking notes!

Yeah, Buffy tends to hide if the weather is bad, and she comes out to play less. I think it’s a prey animal instinct to hide somewhere small and safe from the elements.

Yes, we’ve had some very dark days in december. It was so heavily overcast that there wasn’t any sunlight for nearly a week. Breintje spent those days in a sort of permanent snooze.

Ah, the normalcy of the bunny. Thanks for putting my mind at ease everyone!

They have such odd quirks. It can be very hard to find out what’s bothering them.

I discovered yesterday that Breintje gets aggressive from the high frequency beep which my monitor gives off at standby.

                      How I found out:
A friend of mine lives in the same flat, and he walks in regularly for a beer. He came over twice this week, and I was gaming on my PC. I paused the game, put the monitor in standby and we had a beer. Both times Breintje misbehaved horribly. The first time he bit my friend and yesterday he bit me. He was also very skittish and irritable. Then I noticed the beep at the edge of my hearing. As soon as I put the monitor on again Breintje put up his ears, lowered them again and sat down smacking his lips.

Interesting! If something like that ever happens to Patton I will keep what you said in mind. And not only computers, it could be other electronics. If he is like me, he will become more irritated when Kidz Bop music comes on

It has been more than a month now since the neuter and he’s doing well as far as I know, but I’m trying to be sensitive to changes in his behaviour. I was worried that maybe the lack of a companion was bothering him, but I really prefer the 1-on-1 relationship we have with him now.

I’ve never noticed the weather affecting my bunnies. But they are pretty much always lazy, regardless of sun or clouds.
