Hello everyone and happy holidays!

I was hoping some of you more experienced bunny mamas and papas could help me out. Today I was walking around the hardware store and I found these huge bags of fresh-looking wood chunks; there was Apple tree wood, cherry tree wood, and mesquite (?) wood. It looked really yummy (from a Bun’s perspective, of course! ). However, I couldn’t find an ingredients list on it. I talked to the nice man who runs the shop and he said he thinks it had to have been heat-treated (to reduce the risk of bugs) but he wasn’t sure about chemicals.

Has anyone successfully fed their bunny wood chunks like these? They are marketed for grilling so I at least know that whatever runs off in smoke when burn is safe for human consumption.

I didn’t buy any of course because “better safe than sorry!” But I think Jake would enjoy chewing these chunks. Plus, $9 for what looks like an infinite supply of chews? That’s awesome!
